Camp Gallagher isn't just back. It's back for good.
We're thrilled to announce that Friends of Camp Gallagher has officially signed a 30-year lease with Camp Gallagher property owners (and all-around wonderful people) The Whites.
It's hard to believe that only 14 months ago we'd just found out our beloved camp was for sale and were scrambling to save it. We gathered. We brainstormed. We fundraised.
We tried our hardest not to give up hope.
Never could we have predicted that the best possible solution would present itself to us. The White Family, longtime neighbors of Camp Gallagher, had purchased the property and wanted to preserve it as a summer camp for many years to come.
Not only could the life-changing Camp Gallagher experience continue, but the money we'd raised to buy it could be spent on essential equipment, maintenance and camperships instead of a pricey downpayment.
We are forever grateful to The Whites for their generosity and commitment to youth development through challenge, discovery and adventure in the great outdoors.
And let's not forget about YOU, the Camp Gallagher community. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your unwavering support. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
